Every year since 1954 innovative product designs are awarded in an international competition. The "Red Dot Award " is a label for quality  in the world of the designers and producers. This year only about 1,300 products from over 4,800 submissions have convinced the jury of 40 experts from around the world and have been awarded the “Red Dot”. Newest Member of the BKtel RF over Glass (RFoG) system solution is the mini fiber node XON45.BFN. The fiber node addresses network operators using RFoG in FTTB networks. The node as opposed to standard RFoG nodes can be remotely managed.
